In the morning I had to rush outside to take some pics of my new gloves. I don't know if it was worth it, the sun (what a rare sight this "winter") and the shiny white snow made the colours a bit too light. But here they are anyway:
Malli: Tod. näk. jostain 80-luvun käsityölehdestä, minä kuitenkin katselin Mammani tekemistä hanskoista. Helppo!Lanka: Itsekoolattu nalle (alunperin musta-harmaa colori), 63g. Sisävalossa näyttää niiiiin ruskealta, en tykkää, mutta ulkona muuttuu marjaisiksi sävyiksi, tykkään. En tiedä heitänkö vielä uudestaan väripataan vai en. Project Spectrum vai ei?
Puikot: 3mm
Pattern: Most probably from some Finnish knitting magazine in the 80s, but I knitted according to a real glove made by my Granny. Easy!
Yarn: Self-KoolAided nalle (originally grey-black), 63g. Inside the house the colours seem so brown, I really don't like them, but outside they change into sort of berry shades, which I do like. Should I KoolAid these again? Are these Project Spectrum or not?
Needles: 3mm
Yritin ohjetta kirjoittaa muistiinkin, mutta taidan vielä kokeilla ohuemmalla langalla ja ohuemmilla puikoilla, sillä näistä tuli isot. Tai isot ja isot. Työkaverini sovitti näitä tänään ja totesi, että leveys ok, mutta sulla taitaa olla lyhyet sormet? Ja kämmenet vastakkain ja joo, mulla on lyhyet sormet. No, nämä olivat testiversio ja toimivat kyllä toisten hanskojen päällä vaikka silloin on kyllä erittäin makkarasormiolo :)
I tried to write down the pattern, but I'll have to rerun it with thinner yarn and thinner needles as well because these are too big. Or something. My work mate tried these on today and said that the width is ok, but do you have short fingers? We pressed our palms agains another and yes, I do have short fingers. These work fine on top of other gloves even though then you have a weird sausage-finger-feeling ;)
