Iiik! Some participants of the first ever Finnish fiberclub have already received their first package - I haven't - it seems that the post travels slower to this part of the country.... I'll have to be careful reading the blogs, I really don't want to see in advance what I'll be getting....
Eilinen lanka kuivuu vielä. Se on kirkkaampaa ja tummempaa kuin kehrätessä kuvittelin. Se on ihanaa! Tämä on se aiemmin kesällä kehrätty lälly pastelli, joka itse asiassa ei olekaan niin kauhea neulottuna kuin kuvittelin. Jotenkin ihmeellisesti muistelin, että tässä olisi enemmän liilaa ja keltaista? Enhän minä edes värjännyt sitä keltaisella.... Muisti on kummallinen vehje. Kuva on kameran kanssa temppuilusta huolimatta hitusen valheellinen, värit ovat hieman tummemmat oikeasti. Mutta yllättävän tasaista, ei yksiväristä mutta ei pätkärääkättyäkään.
Yesterday's yarn is still drying. It's brighter and darker than I imagined while spinning it. It's lovely! This one was spun earlier this summer, the softie, which actually isn't as bad as I thought. I remembered wrong - I thought this had more lilac and yellow? I can't understand remembering yellow, I didn't even use yellow dye... Surprisingly even colouring.
Kuvio on testailua yhteen projektiin. Tilkussa näyttää hyvältä, mutta pyöröneuleena ei. Jostain syystä pyöröneuleena tuo kuvion vasen reuna katoaa melkein kokonaan ja näyttää kuin olisi tehty vain vinosti oikealle kulkeva oikea silmukkajono. Mietitään ja testataan tai vaihdetaan kokonaan kuviota?
The pattern is being tested for a project. The swatch looks fine, but when knitted in the round, it doesn't look the same. Somehow the left edge of the pattern disappears and it looks like there's only a one stitch diagonal row towards upper right corner. Have to think, test again, or maybe change the pattern?
Snyni taitaa olla kesälomareissulla kun ei vielä ole kuulunut mitään....Viikonlopun minihelle sai pääni sekaisin. Särkee eikä mikään auta. Posket ovat kosketusarat. Ei ole poskiontelon tulehdus, on kyllä tutkittu vuosien varrella miljoona kertaa. On vaan helteestä (ja liian lämpimistä huoneista ja haju- ja partavesistä ja alkoholista) umpeen turpoavat ontelot ja limakalvot. Jees. Tähän mennessä tämä kesä olikin ihanan viileä!
Favourite knitting spot? Well, of course my very own sofa! And for it to be perfect I need a cold autumn night (or winter), fire in the fire place, a good movie on tv (or an audiobook), a blanket over my legs, my cats in my lap or beside me, hot tea and honey, chocolate, good wool yarn, preferably green (or red) and a well written pattern.
My dear SP12 tells me that my very first package should be leaving her (wherever she is) some time this week. She's already earlier told me that she'll send only two packages over the time of three months - this has made me guess that she might live some where far, far, far away.... ;)
